What is the definition of an FSG call?

A

A call received by control where caller believes they are unable to leave their premises due to effects of fire and where the control officer remains online giving the appropriate advice.
* This is not all calls where ppl are uncertain and take advice from control. Control decide if it constitutes an FSG.

A

The IC. Using situational awareness and info from control allocated resources appropriately.

  • Flat/House number.
  • No. of ppl involved.
  • Their location and its condition.
  • Proximity to Fire (if known).
  • Latest advice given.
  • Time of FSG call.
  • Time updated.

Names cannot be passed by appliance radio.

A

A

Repeat details over radio to control. Then pass this info over to IC.

A

They will pass this onto another appliance en-route who will record this and pass on to IC on arrival and a copy retained at the ICP. IC should then inform control that they have received this info.

A

Ask first CU to only deal with FSG calls.
Dedicated hand held radio channel for FSGs.
Dedicated mainscheme channel on OPS1 for the incident alone or FSGs alone.

A

To record information on FSGCs. It can be used at any incident where people are trapped or missing. On CUs and FIB.

Records all foreground messages once CU mobilised. Message sent by firelink radio relating to FSGCs recorded here. Conferencing facility for remote users.

A

An FSG co-ordinator (minimum SM) to record and retail all info and actions. Briefing must include lines of Comms and their limits of authority.
