Abdominal pain Altered bowel habit Abdominal bleeding Belching wind & flatus/bloating Mucus in stools
Description of abdominal pain associated with IBS (4)
variable (vague, bloating, burning, sharp)
Replicated by balloon inflation
Occasionally radiates (often lower back)
Rarely occurs at night
