What are 5 main features of fungi?

A
  1. They do not make their own food but get their nutrients by absorbing food from an outside source.
  2. They are mainly multicellular.
  3. They are composed of threads called hyphae, which combine to form a visible, fluffy mass called a mycelium.
  4. Their cell (or hyphal) walls are made of a carbohydrate called chitin.
  5. They reproduce by spores.
