Galatians Flashcards
(10 cards)
Galatians 2:21
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
Galatians 3:2-3
I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of law, or by believing what you heard? Are you foolish? After beginning by means of the spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?
Galatians 3:5
So again I ask, does God give you his spirit and work miracles among you by the works of law, or by you believing what you heard? So also Abraham “believed in God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
Galatians 3:22
But scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given faith through Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Galatians 3:24-25
So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
Galatians 4:16
Have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?
Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a toke of slavery.
Galatians 5:6
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Galatians 5:25
Since we live by the spirit, let us keep in step with the spirit.
Galatians 3:10-11
For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”
