How do you perform the oxygen percentage test using a metal?
The copper metal is heated using a strong Bunsen flame. Then leave it to cool.
Why do you need an excess of copper granules in oxygen % test?
metal version
So that we know all the oxygen has been used up
It has reacted with the copper
Why do we leave an oxygen % test to cool before measuring results?
metal version
Hot gas expands therefore the reading wouldn’t be accurate
What is the set up of the oxygen percentage test using a non-metal?
