Q

Disadvantges

A

gels melt during electophoresus
Buffer can become exhausted
Different forms of genectic material may run in unpredictable forms

Procedure

A
  1. Preparing the samples
  2. An agarose Tae gel solution is prepared
  3. Casting the gel
  4. Setting up the electrophoresis
  5. Loading the gel
  6. Electrophoresis
  7. Stopping electrophoresis and visualizing the DNA

Examples of gel electrophoresis

A

Tae agarose gel electrophoresis
TBE and denaturing PAGE are commons for RNA seperation

Q

Comparison

A

Tae agaraose gel another type of gel electrophoresis

Known as Tris - acetate - EDTAbuffer is used as both a running /in agarose gel

Used in denaturing gradient of gel electrophresis

Tae used to study the mobility of DNA in solution with and without sodium chloride

Similarity same in terms of actors , such as the gel could melt during the experience .
