Gender Dysphoria
significant distress or discomfort caused when sex assigned at birth is not the same as person’s gender identity.
diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria
- maked incongruence between assigned sex and gender identity
- clinically signficant distress or functional impairment
- symptoms for atleast 6 months
what are the incongruence seen in gender dysphoria
preference for:
- wearing clothing of opposite gender
- playmates of opposite gender
- toy, games, activity of opposite gender
- desire for physical chatastistics to match thier prefered gender

Paraphilia Diagnosis

- with non consenting person
- consenting person but they have distress or impairment

sexual arousal from objects or highly specific non genetial body part

sexual arousal by cross dressing
wearing clothes of opposite gender
do not want to be the other gender
Froutteurism diagnosis
touching or rubbing against a nonconsenting person and they get an arousal
not invovled in a relationship nut fanticies about it
Sexual sadiam
Sexual arousal from causing the physical and psychological suffering of another person.
Sexual Masochism
Sexual arousal from receiving physical and psychological suffering →
humiliation, beaten, bound, asphyxia
Pedophilia
- Sexual arousal from prepubescent child
- The child typically is less than 13 years old (depends on whether
they have reached puberty) - Perpetrator is at least 16 years old AND at least 5 years older
than the child
