25
What is the difference between Nearest Suitable and Nearest Practical Airport?
Nearest suitable basically means land now but on a runway that can take your aircraft. Nearest practical means land soon but you have more options (call ops, maintenance available, refuel?)
26
What's the difference between the PW118 engine variants
PW118 lower temp limit (33deg) A , B models (42,48deg) Temperature limit difference.
27
Describe Vfs
Final segment speed take off with critical engine inop.
28
MEL codes (O) and (M) stand for?
(O) = operational (M) = Maintenance action (some are pilot approved)
29
When writing a defect the word 'inoperative' means.
That system is not 100% functioning. eg if a light is broken it is inoperative if the light is on but at the wrong time then it is also considered inoperative.
30
After takeoff and in the climb what value should you set the power levers to?
T6 value of 710-720'C until reaching 14,000ft then set as per the chart.
