**finish last questionWhat point of view are the first six books (small plates)in the Book of Mormon written in?

What point of view are the books of Mosiah, Alma, Helaman, Third Nephi, Fourth Nephi, and Mormon written in?

***What point of view are Ether, Moroni, and Words of Mormon written n?

A

The first six books in the Book of Mormon are written in “first person.” This means the author is giving the acount himself and uses “I,” “we,” us,” etc.

The books of Mosiah, Alma, Helaman, Third Nephi, Fourth Nephi, and Mormon are written in “third person.” Someone else is telling the story. That “someone else” is Mormon. He has abridged the large plates of Nephi and is now giving us his abridgment or summary of those plates. The things he was inspired to include in his abridgment are the things The Lord knew we would need in our day in order to stay loyal to God.

BofM made easier, part #2, p. 3

Just FYI- you use the second person point of view to address the reader. The second person uses pronouns such as “you,” “your,” and “yours.” An example would be…

Grandma,
