finding the root of a specific word

studying a specific bible character

studying a specific topic in scripture

Observation, interpretation, and Application
How do you do observation of scripture correctly
collect all info, just the facts out of scripture (the whole v.s detail)

How to consider the context of scripture
-study the whole chapter or chapters
- have an understanding of purpose of the book in which it is contained
- know that it must line up with the purpose and teaching of the whole Bible

What are the helps of contextual study
- study theology, bible geography, bible history, and Bible customs, and synopsis
What is the Law of context?
- read and know the background and the meaning of all terms and words
- accept the simplest interpretation first
accept the obvious meaning first
What is the purpose of parallel truth?
comparison, don’t intermingle the 2 , you will get a short circuit if you do.
