What is the explicit formula for an arithmetic sequence?
a(n) = a₁ + (n – 1)d
n= the number you're looking for in the sequence d= common difference
The a(n) is supposed to have n as a subscript but I can’t get it to work here! Sorry! Don’t multiply them!
How do you make a fraction using a ratio?
Add both parts of the ratio to find the denominator. The numerator is the part of the ratio you need to use. E.g. 2::7 is 2/9 and 7/9, respectively.
What is the domain?
All included x-values.
What is the range?
All included y-values.
What’s the order of operations?
PEMDAS
Parentheses
Exponents
Multiplication/Division (as they occur left to right)
Arithmetic/Subtraction (as they occur left to right)
Where are the solutions of a parabola?
Where it touches the x-axis. Also called zeros and roots.
