Genetically Engineered Medicine. Flashcards

1
Q

What is genetically modified medicine (GEM)

A

A GEM is a medicine made using genetic engineering. Scientists change the DNA of bacteria, yeast, or plants to make important drugs like insulin for diabetes or growth hormone. This makes medicine cheaper, safer, and easier to produce.

Q

What is gene therapy, and how is it related to GEMs?

A

Q

What is gene therapy, and how does it differ from GEMs?

A
