Abortive meds for migraine
Triptans

BB - (propranolol)
TCA - (Amitriptyline) Anticonvulsants - (gabapentin, topiramate)
Tx for cluster headaches
High dose O2 via Mask 12L 100%, Imitrex (abort) and a CCB for prophylaxis.
VERAPAMIL.
Test for BPPV
Dix Hallpike maneuver
Tx for BPPV
Primidone, or propranolol
Fibromyalgia
11/18 points. Widespread pain for at least three months

worst headache of my life: may experience sentinel headache few weeks prior. S/sx of
meningitis. Falls in elderly or MVA younger
subdural hematoma (SDH)
skateboarding concussion. Diagnosed with CT (Never do Contrast if you suspect a bleed)

<24=dementia
Trigeminal Neuralgia
compression of nerve root possibly. Unilateral facial pain close to
nose/cheeks. Sharp shooting pains by eating etc. TREATMENT: high doses of anticonvulsants. MRI /
CT.
