How does the sea affect coastlines?

A

Coastal landforms can be formed by erosion or deposition. It can either take materials away (erosion) or drop materials (deposition) to create something new. Erosion can happen by sea currents, waves, tides, wind, rain, weathering, mass movement, and gravity. This creates things like fjords or the bay of Fundy.

Q

The importance of the coastline for tourism?

A

Coastal areas are often cooler than places inland. So, on hot days people go to the beach to cool off and swim in the sea. Many people enjoy relaxing on a beach. This is why in recent years, tourism in Dubai and Australia has rocketed up. However, In the past sunbathing was very popular, although today tourists are more aware of the dangers of too much sun.
