What was the cause of Hyperinflation?
Troops from France and Belgium march into and occupy the Rhineland. Weimar govt paid Rhineland workers to stay on strike and had to print more money to do this, leading to hyperinflation.

* Hitler and his tropps stormed beer hall and forced Bavarian govt leaders to support revolution * The next day, Hitler and troops marched into Munich, intending to sieze power but were met by police * Within the next 2 days both Ludendorff and Hitler arrested

* Extremist parties began to gain more support (e.g. Communists gained 6mil new members) * Govt scared of inflation so raised taxes and reduced unemployment benefit * Good for Nazis as Hitler could show German people why they needed to be 'saved'

* Promised work to the unemployed * Were the only ones that could deal with the communists (Although they used violence with SA) * Hitler showed German people they needed to be 'saved' as govt wasn't doing well
