How were Germans suffering during the war?

1. Germans began to suffer during the war.
2. British used their large navy to stop supplies getting to Germany.
3. Terrible shortages of food, medicines and clothing.
4. In 1915 500 women gathered in front of the German parliament buildings and said they wanted their men back from the trenches.
5. In 1916, 10,000 workers assembled in Berlin and chanted “Down with the war, down with the governmnment”
6. The police quickly moved in to make arrests and calm the situation.
7. As the war continued, people grew weary and tired of it.
