Dx- Urea Breath Test
PPI + Clarithromycin + Amoxicillin
or bismuth subsalicylate plus tetracycline, metronidazole and PPI
Prophylaxis with- daily NSAIDs, chronic steroids, chronic a/c
Zollinger ellison syndromw
dx- secretin test
PPI and surgical resection of Tumor
Celiac Disease
Dx- tTH-IgA, small bowel biopsy
Gluten free diet, nutrition referral, prednisone if refractory
Crohns disease
acute attacks- oral steroids, antibiotics- cipro, flatly
melsalamine for maintenance
nutrient supplementation, smoking cessation, surgical resection
Ulcerative Colitis
topical or oral aminosalicylates, corticosteroids, surgery can be curative- total proctocolectomy
Intusseception
Barium enema diagnostic and therapeutic
acute Pancratitis
NPO, IV fluids, parenteral hyper-alimentation, pain mgmt, antibiotic consideration, ERCP
Acute Cholangitis
antibiotics- FLQ, ampicillin, gentamicin, with or without metronidazole
fluid replacement and pain control
ERCP- agent decompression otherwise performed once patient is stable
Cholecystecomy- after acute syndrome has resolved
Primary Sclerosing Cholangiti
Ursodiol, endoscopic management of strictures, liver transplant- only treatment with known survival benefit

surgery

surgical resection of affected bowel (abscence of auerbachs and meissners autonomic plexuses)
