First second third order
•1st order: Direct consequence (e.g. raise price -> lower demand)
•2nd order: Reaction to the consequences (e.g. competitors gain customers)
•3rd order: along-term or indirect effects (e.g. change in market norms)
Helps with chain-reaction thinking
Feedback Loop Model
Positive (reinforcing): Growth,escalation, compounding effects
Negative(balancing): Stabilisation, diminishing returns, limits
Used in: Biology, economics, behaviour systems, technology ecosystems.
Zoom levels (nested context)
•Individual -> group -> institution -> nation -> global
Used to see how small and large forces interact (e.g. local business within global economy)
Mental models of human behaviour

•Social proof
•Principal agent-problem useful for deciding why people or institutions behave the way they do.

•Introduction -> growth -> maturity -> decline
•Innovations -> early adaptors -> majority -> laggards
