What are feminists?
People who support equal rights and opportunities for women.
What is environmentalism?
Broad movement aimed at the conservation of the environment, the protection of biodiversity and the practice of sustainable development.

The right of Indigenous people to govern themselves.
What is capitalism?
An economic system that allows private ownership of property and a free market to operate.
What are the League of Nations?
An international organisation set up after World War I that was intended to help nations solve disputes without going to war.
What are the United Nations?
An international organisation set up after World War II that was intended to help nations solve disputes without going to war.
What is communism?
A system of society in which all property is owned by the community.
What is sustainability?
Where a natural environment is able to continue to exist in its current state, replacing animals, plants and other resources that are removed from it.
What is the land rights movement?
A movement for Australian Indigenous people to have their rights to their traditional lands recognised and restored or be compensated in return.
What is racial segregation?
A process in which people use separate facilities such as schools, restaurants, public toilets, and entrances to buildings on the basis of their race.
What is the civil rights movement?
A struggle for political and social reforms to end systemic discrimination against African Americans in the United States of America.
What is decolonisation?
The dismantling of colonial governments and the return of autonomy to indigenous people.
What is mass production?
A quick and efficient process for producing large number of items, where each worker has one small task to do and an assembly line moves the product from worker to worker to enable them to do their jobs.
What is colonisation?
The claiming of and exerting control over foreign territories.
