Q

MOCA

A

Minimum Obstruction Clearance Altitude

The lowest puiblished altitude in effect between fixes on VOR airways, off-airway routes, or route segments which meets obstacle clearance requirements for the route segment. Acceptable navigational coverage only within 22 NM of a VOR.

Q

MORA
Route & Grid

A

Minimum Off-Route Altitude

Route MORA provides obstruciton clearance within 10 NM to either side of airway centerlinesand within a 10 NM radius at the end of airways.

Grid MORA provides obstruction clearance within a lat / long grid block.

OROCA

A

Off Route Obstruction Clearance Altitude

Provides obstruction clearance with a 1,000’ buffer in non-mountainous terrain areas and 2,000’ in mountainous areas. May not provide navigation or signal coverage.
