What is an atom?
An atom is the smallest part of an element that’s existent within an object or thing.
What’s the nucleus?
The core of an atom; containing protons and neutrons, with electrons orbiting it.
What’s a proton?
A proton is in the nucleus of an atom; that contains a positive charge.
What’s an element?
An element is a part of a whole. Elements are made up of one type of atom.
What is the mass number?
The mass number is the number of protons and neutrons there are.
What is the proton number?
The proton number is the number of protons there are.
What’s a neutron?
A neutron is in the nucleus of an atom; that contains a neutral charge.
What’s an electron?
An electron is in the nucleus of an atom, that orbits the protons and neutrons in an atom. Electrons have negative charges.
What is the shell?
The shell is the outside part of an atom around the atomic nucleus. On the shells, have electrons, that orbit protons and neutrons in an atom.
