What is geography?
Geography, is the study of the physical features pf the earth and of human activity as it affects and is affected by things including the distribution of populations and political and economic activities
What is a map?
A map is a diagrammatic representation of an area of land or sea typically showing physical features, cities and roads.
What is a key/Legend?
A key/legend, is a list of symbols that appear on a map and what they represent.

d) Main lines
a) Lines of latitude are imaginary horizontal lines that run east to west parallel to each other and divide the earth into Northern and Southern hemispheres. They decrease in length but increase in value in a poleward direction.
b) Lines of longitude are imaginary vertical lines that run north to south and divide the earth into Western and Eastern Hemispheres. They are all the same length.
c) Lines of latitude and longitude are imaginary lines that are used as a tool to help people locate places on a map and describe positions.
d) Main lines:
Latitude: Equator
Longitude: Prime Meridian(Greenwich)

What is the scale on a map?
A scale on a map, is a mathematical relationship between the size of a landscape in reality and the map.

Borders of a country are lines that separate it from other countries. These lines determine the demarcation of a countries borders.

Borders vs Boundaries
Boundaries are imaginary lines separating one piece of land from another. Borders are a tyle of boundary separating two or more smaller geographical units.

Physical Geography examines the world around us both natural and man made
Human Geography concerns the spatial patterns of humans and human activity over spaces and places.
