What is Rationing?
-Limiting the amount of food or goods in your home country during the war
What where the Nuremberg Race Laws
A series of laws that limit the rights of Jews during WW2
What is Radar
A device that detects where the enemy is in if you are in a cirten radius to the enemy
What was Kristallnacht
-The Night of Broken glass
-A night of Damage to Jewish Property
(After German Nazis where more violent towards Jews)
What was the Final Solution
-The term given for the holocaust
The final Solution= Extermination of all Jews in Europe
75% of all jews in europe where killed in the holocaust
What was Operation Overlord (D-Day)
-The beginning of the end of WW2
-When Canadians and american turps raided beaches in Europe. In Order to try and gain some control.
Canada was the only country that successfully completed their objectives as well.
What was Hiroshima?
-A city in Japan where the first Atomic Bomb was dropped in WW2
What was the Manhattan Project
This was the project that was designed to create the atomic bomb. The person who created the trigger for the atomic bomb was Canadian. (A science project which leads to the Atomic Bomb)
Who was Robert Oppenheimer?
He was the leader of the Manhattan Project and was called the Father of the bomb
What where Covette’s in WW2
They where small Allied war ships that where their to protect other ships traveling across the Atlantic. They where also very fast.
Was Canada a Hero or a Villain in WW2
Yes and No
Hero:
They liberated concentration camps
They fought the Nazis through out Europe
Villains:
Canada accepted the fewest number of Jews on the western side of the world during and after WW2 then any other country
The largest Non German Nazis fallowing happened in Montreal.
2 years after the war ended Canada then started to slowly start letting Jews back into their country
What role did Canada play in the development of the Atomic Bomb?
We co-operated with other governments to quicken the creation of the A-bomb. Supplied the us with the uranium to create the bomb and some research for the bomb was done in Canada. Canadian researchers also helped in the development of the bomb

Canada was part of the success of the allies
they where Rationing in both wars
They fought against Germany in both
Canada was under the British
Both Wars allowed for war bonds to be bought
Conscription was in both

What did Women Contribute to WW2
- Took over men’s jobs such as farms, factories, businesses, and running homes
- “Rosies’s of the North” Built weapons, bullets, tanks, planes
- Nurses, Saved thousands of lives
- ATA=Air transport auxiliary, women who transported planes during WW2
- Women worked in Europe in communications eg, Radar, Radio and Telephone
- Rich women bought Victory/war Bonds.
