A

This was the project that was designed to create the atomic bomb. The person who created the trigger for the atomic bomb was Canadian. (A science project which leads to the Atomic Bomb)

Was Canada a Hero or a Villain in WW2

A

Yes and No
Hero:
They liberated concentration camps
They fought the Nazis through out Europe
Villains:
Canada accepted the fewest number of Jews on the western side of the world during and after WW2 then any other country
The largest Non German Nazis fallowing happened in Montreal.
2 years after the war ended Canada then started to slowly start letting Jews back into their country

What role did Canada play in the development of the Atomic Bomb?

A

We co-operated with other governments to quicken the creation of the A-bomb. Supplied the us with the uranium to create the bomb and some research for the bomb was done in Canada. Canadian researchers also helped in the development of the bomb

What did Women Contribute to WW2

A
  • Took over men’s jobs such as farms, factories, businesses, and running homes
  • “Rosies’s of the North” Built weapons, bullets, tanks, planes
  • Nurses, Saved thousands of lives
  • ATA=Air transport auxiliary, women who transported planes during WW2
  • Women worked in Europe in communications eg, Radar, Radio and Telephone
  • Rich women bought Victory/war Bonds.
