What does FANBOYS stand for?
For, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
Independent clause
A sentence that does make sense on its own
Dependent clause
A sentence that doesn’t make sense on its own and needs to be linked to a INDC
What are the Two rules for end punctuation
- the punctuation mark must match the function of the sentence it follows
- End punctuation can only be used to separate two independent clauses
