- US is neutral and doesn’t get involved
- they make a lot of money selling equipment to both sides
- give loans to countries
- US exports double in 1914-1915
- double again in 1916
- us becomes wealthiest country in the world
- other countries are worried so they plan a post war world to block American from economic expansion

- Wilson tells people he’s keeping us out of the war even though he knows we need to get into it
- he wins

- We go to France under General Pershing to renew their spirit
- 1918 we push German troops out of France because they were very close to taking it (veterans day)
