It specifies the used GRI standards to make reported information more structured
What are the three types of GRI standards?
- Universal standards: general principles and guidance for using GRI standards
- Sector standards: sector specific impacts which are relevant to the sector of the org.
- Topic standards: specific information on material topics.
How do a company choose topics to include in the report (statistics e.g.)?
Guidance from GRI3 = material topics standard, which explains how to determine what topics are most relevant to its impacts.
How can you know if a report is written in accordance with GRI?
The org. has included a statement of use in its GRI content index. Verification is optional.
How is the number of data to present reduced to a reasonable amount in the GRI standards? (a lot of topics that generate several indicators)
The impacts are grouped into topics and the topics are ranked by level of impact (neg and pos separately).
15 is a reasonable amount.
