body brush, curry comb, face brush, hoof pick, hoof oil, plating bands, xc tape, mane comb, dandy brush
what order might you use them in?
curry comb to loosen hair and dirt. hard brush/ dandy brush to remove dirt, sweat and loose hair. soft brush/ body brush to smooth and clean up body. clean the face, brush the tail, use tail stray, pick out hooves and then put hoof oil on.
tell me when, and when not, you might use a dandy brush?
not- on a sentistive coat, when clipped, not heavy dirty. but when horse is full of dirt and has a thick coat.
Could you show me how to use a rubber curry comb, body brush, etc.?
circle movement - body brush. curry comb and body brush follow eachother
Could you show me how to groom a horse’s head?
untie, unfasten the headcollar, fasten the neck strap, go in direction of the hair.
How do you look after your pony’s/horse’s tail?
brush little sections at a time, use tail spray
Where is the best place to park your lorry/trailer when loading and unloading?
even ground, even space between each one,
How many people do you need to load a quiet family horse/pony safely?

Should you raise the ramp or tie the horse/pony up first, why?
raise the ramp first because if the horse was to pull back it could scare its self.
. Where should you stand when putting up the ramp?
the opposite side to the horse.
What should you wear when loading horses or ponies?
a hat and gloves.
