What is the definition of GSL?
A
Can be sold or supplied with reasonable safety at places other than pharmacy premises and without the supervision of a pharmacist.

How do you know that a medication is not GSL?
A
The box does not have POM or P written on it.

What are the 2 conditions when selling GSL medicines?
A
- The premises can be closed ‘so as to exclude the public’
- The product must have been made up for sale in a container elsewhere and not opened since then

Can GSLs be sold from a vending machine?
A
Yes as long as the machine is located in a place where it is closed so as to exclude the public.
