General management of miscarriage

A

Medical management:
- Vaginal misoprostol
- pregnancy test in EPAC 3w after medical Tx

Surgiacal management:
- Suction evactuation
- Indicated when urgent evacuation of POG is needed i.e. in heavy bleeding, unstable maternal conditions or septic miscarriage

Subsequent F/U:
- OPD F/U in 6w for return of menstruation and cessation of vaginal bleeding
- Urine pregnancy test at 6w (3w in NICE) to exclude molar pregnancy if no histopathological confirmation of POG
