A
  • Production of the blood
  • Occurs mainly in the bone marrow in adults (medullary haematopoiesis)

Can also occur in the liver, thymus and spleen (extra-medullary)

A

A

Haematopoietis stem cells acan turn into common lymphoid progenitor cells or common myeloid progenitor cells

Common lymphoids turn into lymphoblasts which become lymphocytes

Common myeloids turn into erythrocytes, thrombocytes and leukocytes
