Biceps Femoris origin, insertion & action

A

Long head origin is on the ischial tuberosity short head origin is the lateral lip of linea aspera

It inserters on the head of the fibula

And it’s actions are to flex the knee and laterally rotate a flexed knee also to extend the hip and tilt the pelvis posteriorly

It inserters on medial shaft of the tibia at pes anserinus tendon
