What is Health?
Mental, physical and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity
What is natural history of disease?
progression of a disease process over time without intervention.
Which are the 4 stages of natural history of disease?
susceptibility, pre-symptomatic, clinical, disability or death
What is susceptibility stage?
Probability of disease
What is pre-symptomatic stage?
No sign or symptoms but disease is there
What is clinical stage?
Disease appears
What is the disability or death stage?
Result residual effect or death
What is a disability?
limitation of a person’s activities
What is prevention?
Stop the progression of a disease

What is the immune system?
Cells and tissues that protect the body from pathogens and foreign substances.

Protective, Eater cells, smart cells

What causes inflammation?
The damage cells release chemicals that cause blood vessels to leak fluid into the tissues causing swelling.
