What physical changes happen to my body when I exercise?
Heart rate increases, breathe faster, hot and sweaty and muscles ache
What do I need to stay healthy?
Exercise, good hygiene, balanced diet and healthy mind
What are the basic food groups?
fruit and vegetables, carbohydrates, protein, dairy, fat and sugary foods
What does hygiene mean?
Washing our hands, brushing our teeth, wash/shower regularly, keeping homes and surfaces clean
How do we keep our mind healthy?
Limit worries, exercise, sleep well, screen time low, friendships

Helps our bodies get stronger, feel more energised, makes us feel good (endorphins),

What are carbohydrates?
Energy giving nutrients found in food

When something breaks down and rots over time

Physical activity that makes bodies stronger and healthier
What is fat?
Nutrient that gives us energy and protects organs
What are food groups?
Categories of food that give our bodies nutrients
What are germs?
Tiny organisms that can make us sick
What is growth?
The process of getting bigger and bigger
What does healthy mean?
Being in good condition, physically and mentally
What is the heart?
An organ that pumps blood throughout our bodies
What does hygienic mean?
Keeping ourselves and our surroundings clean to prevent germs
What is a muscle?
Part of our body the helps us move
What is protein?
A nutrient that builds and repairs muscles and tissues
What are vegetables?
Plants that we eat and are good for our health
What is a virus?
Tiny oraganism that can cause illness and infections
What does wellbeing mean?
Feeling happy, healthy and content in our lives
