Q

What are the laws of conservation of energy?

A
  • Energy can be moved and energy can change its form, but energy cannot be created or destroyed (this also means that the amount of energy in the universe is always the same)
  • Energy can be moved and energy can be transformed, but each time this occurs, some energy is always lost (usually as heat, but not always)

10
Q

Describe convection.

A

When hotter, non dense material rise, and cooler dense material sink from gravity thus creating heat transfer.

Transformation of energy

A

When one one energy turns into another; when one type of energy is lost through other energy/ies

16

Transferring of energy

A

When one type of energy is passed on to another object.
