Dehydration
Excessive loss of body water interrupting the function of the body
effect of dehydration
increase in blood thickening, increase in body temp, muscle fatigue or soreness, slow reaction time, increase heart rate
increase blood thickening
slows down the blood being pumped, not enough blood can get to the working muscles leading to decrease in performance
increase in body temperature
temperature rises, causing risks of fainting or passing out, allowing them to be unable to take part
muscle fatigue
can cause cramps, reducing body movement range, performance may be lower quality
slow reaction time
decrease in reaction time, decision making is poorer, skill level decreases
increase heart rate
Heart rate gets faster, have to slow down to reduce risk of injury such as heart attack, may be unable to continue
