Hepatic signs of right-sided heart failure vs “shock”

A

Atrophy of centrilobular hepatocytes, distension of sinusoids, and fibrosis are features of passive congestion and are associated with right-sided heart failure, whereas centrilobular necrosis (centering on the central vein) is seen predominantly in “shock” patients
