- This gave rise to the creation of Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC)

- Attested by National Science & Development Board
Traditional Health Program
- Sum total of knowledge, skills & practice on health care, not necessary explicable in the context of modern, scientific philosophical framework
- Recognized by people to help maintain & improve their health towards the wholeness of their being, community & society & their interaction based on culture, history, heritage & consciousness
Traditional Medicine
- Boil recommended parts in water
- Boiling time: 20 mins
DECOCTION
- Plant part soaked in hot water like tea
- 10 – 15 mins
INFUSION
- Directly apply recommended part on affected area
- For bruises, wounds, rashes
POULTICE
Mix plant part in alcohol
TINCTURE
- Cough
- Cold
- Fever
- Asthma & Pharyngitis
