Explain the difference between litter “bearers” and litter “attendants”

A

Bearers do not need to be tied into the litter. used mainly for low angle carry outs. Bearers will “bear” the majority of the load.

Attendants are connected to the litter with a minimum of two points. Mainly used for vertical litter ops. The system will bear the majority of the litter.
