theophylline
before starting:
- U&Es (esp K+)
- liver function
- check plasma levels:
- 4 to 6 hrs after dose
- 5 days after starting treatment
- 3 days after dose adjustment
antipsychotics
weight/BMI - weekly for the first 6 weeks, at 3 months, every 12 months
U&Es/eGFR - every 12 months
FBC - every at 12 months
blood lipids - at 3 months, every 12 months
plasma glucose/HbA1c - at 3 months, every 12 months
pulse/BP - after dose changes
ECG - after dose changes
prolactin - at 6 months, every 12 months
LFTs - every 12 months
methotrexate
FBC liver and renal function tests every 1-2 weeks till stable then every 2-3 months
digoxin
statins
before initiation - creatine kinase, LFTs, renal function, hbA1c, TSH
LFTs at 3 months and at 12 months
patients at high risk of diabetes - hba1c measured every 3 months
amiodarone
LFT before and every 6 months
TFT before and every 6 months
chest X-ray before
K+ before
