A

-inc production (fever, MH, Neuroleptic malignant syndrome, thyroid storm, bicarb, release of tourniquet/cross clamp)
-hypoventilation
-rebreathing (incompetent insp/exp valve, exhausted soda lime)

A

-LOWER airway: kinked tube, mucous plug, forein body, bronchospasm, PTX, PE, cardiogenic, anaphylaxis, aspiration
-UPPER airway: laryngeal edema, laryngospasm, laryngomalcia, foreign body, VC paralysis

Oliguria ddx

A

prerenal: hypovolemia, hypoTN, hypoperfusion, renal v or a thrombosis
intrarenal: ATN (ischemia, dye, abx, myoglobin, hemogloboin), intrinsic (vascular, glomerular, interstitial nephritis)
postrenal: obstructed catheter, urethral or ureteral obstruction

Causes of jaundice

A

prehepatic: inc production: hemolysis or absorption of a hematoma
intrahepatic: ischemic, hepatotoxic drugs, ASA, acetaminophen, steroids, OCP, alcohol, infxn, congestion
posthepatic: mechanical obstructions: stone, stricture, atresia (alk phos!!)
