6 day hx diarrhoea for 6 months. constant. no blood, weak. no dodgy food, no n&v, no one in fam has it, no recent travfel, 18m weight loss, angular stomatitis, UTI 18m ago, fevers x 2 over past yr, 3 yr ago hospital admission with temp, dry scally thing on arm on and off 2 month, no SOB, purple bump on tummy 6 month, yeast infecftions

HIV
(purple thing is kaposi sarcoma)

  • test for HIV in anyone with chronic diarrhoea that doesn’t have another cause

alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency

causes lung problems and also has increased risk of HCC
