What is the Containment Policy?
A policy to prevent the spread of communism to other countries, involving political, economic, and military actions to resist Soviet influence.
What is a Sphere of Influence?
An area where a powerful country controls or heavily influences other countries.
What is the Domino Theory?
The theory that if one country falls to communism, neighboring countries will follow.
What are Proxy Wars?
Conflicts where major powers support opposing sides but do not directly engage in combat.
What is Mutually Assured Destruction?
A deterrence strategy where nuclear powers would be completely destroyed if they engaged in conflict, preventing either side from taking action.
