What was trench foot?
It was a painful condition that was caused by muddy and wet trenches.
What are trenches?
Trenches are types of land that was used for fighting and living in.
Where is Ypres?
Ypres is in west Belgium where some of the fighting took place.
What did Arras have during the war?
Arras had a mine underneath it so the injured could stay there until they are better they also had 700 beds.
Where were was the trench that ran through two countries?
The trench ran through Belgium and France
What war did they use tanks?
They used tanks in the Battle of the Somme the British used 49 tanks.
What is terrain?
Terrain is a type of land e.g muddy,wet etc
What is blood transfusion?
Blood transfusion is an injection of volume if you had lost any blood from fighting.
Where did most of the fighting occur?
It occurred in the Somme (Flanders field)

It is a sort of weapon that a army used to use

What is Triage?
The system of splitting the wounded into groups according to who needed the most urgent attention

A biological weapon first used by the Germans at the Battle of Ypres

It was February-December 1916
When was the last few months of the war?
It was summer and autumn 1918

It was a stretch of land through France & Belgium where most of the fighting took place
How old was the youngest man that joined the army?
His name was Sidney Lewis he was 13 and he was discharged after being returned to France
What was the most common injury during the war?
The most common injury in the war was gunshot wounds and chemical gas attacks
What was a Battalion?
It was a large body of troops, forming part of a brigade
Why did the war start?
The war started by Lord arch Ferdinand being shot.
What happened after the War?
After the war they made the Treaty of Versailles
