Define empire.
A group of countries ruled over by one monarch or leader.
Define conquer.
To take over or overcome over by militairy force.
Who was Babur?
A muslim leader from Central Asia. He started the mughal empire.
What sort of leader was Akbar The Great?
He is a respectful, organised leader. Akbar married a hindu princess to show religious tolernace and moved his court around to rule effectively.
Who was Nur Jahan?
A wife, diplomat, politician, entrepeneur and had artistic vision. At the time, women were unequal and separate but Nur Jahan was an exception.
Who were the EIC?
The East India Company were an English comany that were interested in trading with India because of the spices, tea and textiles.
Why did the Revolutionary War begin?
Americans opposed British because the taxes were for almost everything and regular violence.
What was the Boston tea party?
Americans threw British tea into the sea.
What did Britain gain from the Revolutionary war?
France built a strong alliance with them.
What are the disadvantages from the Revolutionary for Britain?
Britain lost 13 colonies because they gained independence.
What is a martyr?
Someone who dies for a cause.
