What is a militarism?
When countries spend huge amounts of money to upgrade their military. The army would use their forces aggressively to promote/defend their country.

Soldiers that fought the war on foot

Bomb craters and rotting dead soldiers bodies
What are some of the diseases that were picked up in the trenches?
Ulcers, boils, pneumonia, dysentery (bloody diarrhoea) and bronchitis
What is trench foot?
When you have been in knee deep water and your foot swells up, and develops sores that can rot (if not treated properly)
What weapons did they use?
Poison gas, Rifles, machine guns, grenades, tanks, artillery, fighter and bomber planes and flamethrowers
What is a more updated name for shell-shock?
PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)
Which countries in the (British empire) volunteered soldiers to fight for Britain?
Canada, India, Australia, Parts of Africa including South Africa, New Zealand and West Indies
