A

Jewish people were forced to live and ghettos and Jewish people working for the government lost their jobs. People were put in ghettos just to be killed because there was no access to food.

A

When men left to go to war women took their jobs and covered them up. Families and many women would ration their food and many other necessities so it could all be sent to war grounds.

What impact did Japanese Internment have on Japanese Americans?

A

Because the American government believed there were Japanese spies they threw all Japanese people in a prison camp. This made Japanese people no longer trust Americans. Not only their trust but the camps were awful, it was freezing,boring,and people were starving. Many people died from these experiences and some people had their entire ends of their live sis here since they were in those camps for so long.

Who is Robert Oppenheimer? Why is he significant?

A

Robert Oppenheimer was the father of the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer is the one that created the first ever atomic bomb and bombed it on Japan during WW2 which later caused Japan to surrender in the war. This bomb saved us in the war and ended it all together.

Why was America referred to as the “Arsenal of Democracy?”

A

America was known because they were constantly sending off war goods to our allies in the war. Our name is from our sends off in WWII.

Why was the Battle of Midway considered a turning point in the Pacific?
The Battle of Midway was very shocking to Japan because they were expected to win. Although the U.S.A. had lower artillery and fighters they managed to destroy Japan and sink four of their aircraft carriers. This frightened Japan and made it known to them that we were not going down easy.

What happened at the Battle of Stalingrad? Why is this considered a turning point in Europe?
The Battle of Stalingrad took the Soviet Union's name in victory. This loss for Germany put them in defense mode in fear. This later allows us to break into Germany and take over power easily.

Who is Harry Truman? What important decision did he make to help end the war?
Harry Truman was the 33rd President of the United States. He opened the door to atomic weapons like the atomic bomb which later ended the war.
