A

The whiskey rebellion was a rebellion started by the National Government putting taxes on whiskey to pay the national debt. This angered whiskey distillers and drinkers and so they rebelled. In response, Washington sent 13,000 militia men. This ended the rebellion. This was significant because some called Washington’s use of many soldiers extreme while others said that it was neccicary.
