What was Home Rule?
Home Rule was a proposed law that would give Ireland its own parliament to manage domestic affairs, while remaining part of the UK.
Why did Nationalists support Home Rule?
They wanted Irish self-government and saw it as a peaceful way to gain more control over Irish affairs.
What was the religious divide between Unionists and Nationalists?
Unionists were mainly Protestant and wanted to stay under British rule; Nationalists were mostly Catholic and wanted more independence.
