Homeostasis Flashcards

1
Q

What homeostasis is?

A

The tendency of living organisms to maintain their characteristics in a state of equilibrium as external conditions vary. It’s a dynamic condition, no statics

Q

What a negative feedback is?

A

A negative feedback is a self-regulatory system in which it feeds back to the input a part of a system’s output so as to reverse the direction of change of the output. The process reduces the output of a system in order to stabilize or re-establish internal equilibrium.

Q

And what about feedforward?

A

The basic concept of feedforward control is to measure important disturbance variables and take corrective action before they upset the process. It´s a anticipate regulation.

Q

Talk about the liquid compartments in the organism
