What does Hooke’s law state?
A
The extension of a stretched wire is proportional to the load/force

What does a graph of a material obeying Hooke’s law look like
A
Straight line up to a certain point (elastic limit) at which point the line curves.

What is the elastic limit and what happens past it?
A
If you increase force past the elastic limit, the material will be permanently stretched and will be longer than it was at start when all of force has been removed.
